Parent Advocate

Parents are crucial to the the health of any quality learning community. When the parents' voice is heard and welcome, a school will thrive. Social Emotional Learning is emboldened by the engagement of a child's family. Research applauds the involvement of parents as a leading factor to improve student learning and success. Bonsall has often done a fantastic job of engaging families of students, and this will be the core principle and focus of Lindsay's decisions on the board, if elected. With 5 kids in or having gone through the district, Lindsay will be sure to maintain an open dialogue with parents and an open door policy.

Community

The Bonsall community has brought infinite value to the lives of the Jones family. Each teacher, church member, and rec team community member has given so much to her five children. Additionally, as a Sunday School teacher, Pony League Team Parent, Girl Scout Leader, garden mom, arts attack mom, prayer leader, and other various leadership volunteer roles she has taken over the 15 years of residing in Bonsall, Lindsay has always considered this community with the utmost regard. She was elected twice as the SSC board member at Bonsall Elementary in 2022 and at Sullivan Middle School in 2023. She has worked each year to volunteer her time and give back to the students and families in the community.

Educators

As a veteran educator with over 17 years of experience in California's Public Schools, Lindsay understands that no one gives back to children like teachers. Lindsay will work to honor the relationship between the board and teachers, and work to ensure that the teachers at Bonsall are respected. Lindsay's 5 children have been taught by over 25 of Bonsall Unified teachers, and Lindsay has been so grateful to a combined 24 school years between her five kids (and a combined 15 to go). Educators are a core pillar because they are valued and respected.
